“Femininity” as Conceptualized in Language-thought
By Naser Manzuri
In this book, we are to show or pursue the conceptual or pre-semantic roots of femininity, or rather, female in Azeri Turkish language-thought. To do this, four first sounds of well-known alphabets as initiated in Ugarit civilization have been chosen. So, the sounds are as in Greek alphabet: α, β, γ, δ. This is partly experimental to value the originality of ‘female’ conceptua¬lization via conceptual-phonetic structuring. What is revealed is more than expected.
