Contents of this book:
Part 1: In this part, the character of Bayram (bay-ram) is discussed. Bay, an honorific for men, is given, here, to ‘ram’. Bayram is equivalent to Mars _the god of war_ in western mythology. This creature is related to the beginning of spring season.
Part 2: In this part, the dual face of wolf in winter is discussed; one as canavar /janavar/ who is against man but the other as Bayqurd (bay-wolf) which is against Qarı, the goddess of ‘qar’ (snow!) So, janavar-ay (wolf moon, as pronounced in Azeri Turkish) is most probably related to the concept of January! This mythical character is discussed to be related to beginning of winter (known as ‘wolf moon’.)
Part 3: In this part, two more characters are discussed. The first one is Bayat (bay-at) [‘at’ means ‘horse’] which is related to autumn season. The second one, here, is Bayquş (bay-quş) [‘quş’ means ‘bird’]. Bayquş means ‘owl’ which is related to summer!
